Executive Chef

We are looking for an Executive Chef to oversee the Kitchen Management and Culinary Offerings for a collection of our casual establishments. This will be a "hands on role" working directly with the location BOH Managers and their teams. The ideal candidate must have prior kitchen management experience and a very strong understanding of the Hospitality Industry.


You will be responsible for leading, motivating and engaging your Culinary Teams to deliver the highest standard in each venue. You will be working with the Operations Director to ensure that the vision for each location is expressed through menu offerings and level of service as well as overseeing the hiring, training and expectations of your kitchen teams.



  • Manage the culinary aspect of each venue, working collaboratively with the other members of the management team

  • Co-ordinate, plan and manage menu development, roll-outs and culinary training for the teams with the management

  • Handle recipe development, food cost analysis, menu planning and pricing

  • Ensure the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are always maintained throughout all kitchen areas

  • Focus on profitability through food and labor cost initiatives including minimizing waste and theft

  • Motivate and coach culinary staff to work together as a team to ensure quality standards are consistently attained

  • Hire, train, schedule, and discipline employees

  • Perform weekly audits

  • Monitor inventory and order all necessary supplies for each location

  • Provides data for related budget areas (food and labor costs)

  • Establishes a maintenance schedule for all kitchen equipment



  • Michelin Star and Fine Dining Experience is an asset

  • Multi Unit Experience is required

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the same or a similar role

  • 7+ years’ Restaurant Experience

  • Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Culinary Arts, or equivalent

  • Energetic Team Leader with the ability to motivate team to produce accurate, complete and quality work

  • Attention to detail, takes initiative, has a hands-on approach

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment; works well under pressure

  • Able to build positive rapport and communicate easily with colleagues and staff

  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to obtain information, determine course of action and follow through to successful resolution
